What have I done? It's going to rain on our festival!

I’ve jinxed myself. I’ve been bragging to a few myLotters about our beautiful weather – warm and sunny day after day it’s been. And now I’m paying for being so smug.
There is a cold front approaching and it seems it will bring rain to a widespread area of south-west Western Australia over the entire weekend. And guess where we’ll be? At the Fairbridge Music Festival. Hopefully in a building or under cover somewhere dry except when we’re walking from our campsite to the venues.
The organisers will be groaning as the rain has to mean hassles for them and I would think a much reduced crowd. But one thing I can guarantee – it won’t snow. Wouldn't it be funny if it did?
Oh well, if it is too wet we’ll just have to stay in camp and drink wine. Photo is from a previous festival.

I am still hoping for the best. Mother nature can be unpredictable but works miracles.

Over the years I have just come to expect rain anytime their is an outdoor festival or sporting event. That's just part of life here in Florida where it seems like it rains every day. It sure can be a big hassle when it does rain at these events, so I'm hoping that you all get lucky and are able to dodge the rain from that cold front.

@moffittjc There nearly was! For me anyway. We'd been in a licensed area having a drink and listening to the bands then we moved to another marquee and I went off to the toilets. I was a bit wobbly by then so rather than wobble down the aisle to where the others were I just sat down at the back. But then Vince realised I'd be gone a while about the same time he realised he had the key to the bus so he went off looking for me. He must have walked past me twice so it wasn't my fault he missed me was it?

I was feeling so smug reading about the horrendous conditions although I was sympathetic as well.

Fairbridge always comes up with a few surprises. And I've seen photos of British festivals - complete with mud! I have short wellies (wellington boots) and I'm taking them. I don't fancy walking round in wet sneakers for two days.

@JudyEv The weather in spring and autumn is always nice here. It's not too hot or too cold. It's about twenty degrees centigrade.I like this kind of weather.

Now what if you've really jinxed it and get snow!
We've been watching the forecast for moving day....the first time it showed in the long range it showed rain...rain and more rain. Now it's a mere five days away and the forecast shows sunshine and a 0% chance of rain....time to stop checking.

Yes, probably best to stop checking at this point. They are already adjusting our forecast too and it doesn't look half as bad as it did.
