Famous or well known? I have met a number of influential people over time.
Rebekka Armstrong - playboy playmate infected with HIV who gives talks about HIV awareness
Dr Jill Tarter - at the time the head of SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence)
Ralph Nader - presidential candidate for the Independent party and big voice out there for political crap (made me distrust politicians forever)
Burt Rutan - aerospace engineer who designed SpaceShipOne and other interesting aircraft
I met these people at my college. They came to give a lecture and I met them afterwards and talked to them.
Ginny Meerman - Mrs Maryland in 2009 or something like that, also on television for several different reasons. The great niece of General Robert E Lee. I was dating her daughter for several months.
Aside from them, no one else that comes to mind.

@mlgen1037 I just drift into the right places. lol
One thing you won't find with me is the belief that anyone is above me. Even god is only an equal. If I were to have the same powers and abilities, I wouldn't be inferior. :P

Decades ago, I met the fitness guru Richard Simmons at his book signing event, and around that time I met the clothes designer Calvin Klein when he was at a Mall promoting a clothing line, I got his autograph. And recently, I met the legendary nascar driver, Bill Elliot at a local store that he sponsors. It was for their grand opening and I got his autograph.

Cool. I used to watch Richard Simmons on TV years ago. He was always so enthusiastic and full of energy. Now he's pretty much out of the public eye,

@Debscrochet Yes, he did help the over weight lose weight. Before he changed his life and started exercising, he had been over weight.

I haven't seen someone famous. People in big cities will meet famous people easily.

@Debscrochet yes people knew their names also. My daughter's claasmate's father is a well known artist now and I am friend with his wife
