Give Honor Where It Is Due

With any sport, we always praise the players who work hard and show great skill. We comment them for their time, hard work, and successes. And we should. However, I think that people behind the team's success gets overlooked. Parents are the ones who make sporting events happen. I know coaches, players, and facilities are important, but parents or caretakers are behind it all. I, for one, am a coach who is grateful for our parents. We have some that are devoted and nurturing. I hope kids with good parents realize how blessed they are.

Even as a teenager, I felt grateful and lucky that I have parents who care about me and pointed me in the right direction in life.

@gnatsmom You are very right those behind the players deserve credit too. So, my hat is off to the ones behind the players and thank you for all you do to make it all happen.
