Half My Life At Home

It dawned on me the other day as I was cleaning stuff out of my attic: I've lived in this house for half my life.
I put the offer on the house in on my 29th birthday. I just turned 58.
Needless to say, after six years of Navy life -- not to mention the nomadic gene my dad possessed that had us moving all over the place -- I wanted to put down some roots and stay somewhere for awhile.
I'd say half my life is "awhile." 
Happy half-my-life anniversary to my house. More importantly, my home.
Oh, did I say "home"?

The longest I've lived anywhere was 16 yrs in my last home. Second longest would be my childhood home (13 yrs). Seven years in my teenage home, and lesser amounts of time in various other homes. I've been in this one less that a year. Don't know how long I'll stay here.
