Do you think teenagers should speak to their parents about their love relationship?

April 20, 2018 9:24pm CST
As a teen its probably for the first time one experience love in his/her language. As a teenager, everything is new and intense. Even Simple touches are actively heightened and amplified. Most of the time this makes them over excited and tends to take over their life. It's always good to find perfect person of life but teen couples tend to fall in love in a very short time and very hard and make their lives so entwined and connected that it turns out to be unhealthy after a level. I think it is up to the parents and the society as a whole, to help propagate a healthy attitude towards teenage romance and teenagers should treat it as a part of life not the whole life. What are your thoughts regarding it ?

Parents are not that much broadminded to make an atmosphere to open up their children. I think parents need classes before taking the responsibility of father/mother. If parents are good enough no children will face any difficulty in their life or they won't search for love in their teens.

Parents can't have control over the outside forces.

@prakashj256 They can't but they can control them within and that is the need of the hour.

It is not easy for teens to talk to their parents about such things but true, it is a good idea to encourage your teens and make them feel it is okay to talk to parents.

As much as possible, teens can share their feelings with their biological parents. However, some teens felt very embarrassing.

@prakashj256 I do agree. Hopefully, open communication is the key. Unfortunately, it doesn't always happen.

Parents shouldn't avoid him/her in any kind of conversation. If she feels being avoided by one of them, things won't be fruitful

I tell my mom about almost everything. I once fell in love with my classmate and told her about it.

Nice...falling in love is good, seems like you and your mom are pretty much open to each other and every parental relation should be like this.
