Charcoal or Sanguine sketches?

charcoal sketch

I have recently started using sanguine pencils, the red pencils used by some artists to sketch. More specifically, the Carbothello #645. Before then, I mostly used charcoal pencils, vine, willow, and compressed charcoals. I do like the combination of white and red on toned paper but I can't decide which to use for my next project.

This is really beautiful work though! You should watermark it. Or sign it at least.

@aneekebeth You're really talented. I could never draw, even if it were to save my life.

@AlisaTR it takes practice. If you do one drawing every day, in less than a month you'll see a big difference. Give it a try!
