Perhaps it is the most expensive to watch a movie in Saudi Arabia / myLot

I just learned that in Saudi Arabia it will cost USD30-35 for a cinema ticket. It is very expensive, especially most of the time you will not watch a movie alone. Here normally it costs about USD6-15. I heard lately the movie Ready Player One in China is over USD0.2 billion and will be up to USD0.25 billion at the end. I haven't watched it because I am not very interested in this movie.

I love the movies, but I don't know that I would be willing to shell out that much for it. I believe though that Saudi Arabia had a 35 year ban until very recently, so probably there's a huge demand for it and I guess basic economics is at play here. The prices might lower in the future, who knows?

I even wonder whether men and women can stay in the same cinema to watch movie? If not, then perhaps it is not so attractive to go to see a movie
