My daughter-in-law is very creative. She bakes and decorates cakes. Traci also has taught herself to crochet--left handed. She does not speak any foreign languages. School was not her strong suit, as she has learning disabilities that were not diagnosed early on. She found the pattern for the pictured unicorn online, and made it. It was written in Spanish, which she does not read. I guess she did pretty darned good.

Amazing! Your daughter has hidden talents that schooling wouldn't have helped.

That is one thing my son likes about her. He says she makes art. She is my daughter in law, but my daughter in heart.

That is awesome!! My younger daughter has dyslexia and I am home schooling her. She has so many hidden talents like music, crochet, drama and knitting. I am totally focused on helping her enhance her talents.

So often we look at what people cannot do instead of focusing on the things they are able and talented in. Good job mom.

@arunima25 Exactly. People with dyslexia learn to compensate when they need to and often bring some special gifts in other areas than reading.

@GardenGerty I chose to focus on her abilities and not disability. We all have limitations and we all have our strengths.

Her children are teens. I think this is for her teen aged niece. Then she wants to make a snake for her nephew.

First, that is a good work of art. Second, your daughter-in-law 's creative and baking talents make her special. I couldn't even differentiate a baking powder from flour. My art projects all sucked. Sigh. I like your daughter-in-law.
