Starting the Day Off Right / myLot

There is no better way to start your day than with an arm full of grandbabies. The only one missing is my oldest-the only girl of the grands. I have had the privilege of caring for one while his parents work, and the other two came with me(I always have them while parents are working. This weekend my best friend, youngest daughter, and I will go to the beach for the weekend. I will get to be with my oldest then because she is participating in a national dance competition. Life is best when spent with family and real friends.

i so wish i could still do it all. enjoy it to the fullest. you never know when it will be over. hopefully not for you at all.

You are right. We have to grab every opportunity to live life to the fullest. We have lost so many loved ones the last couple of years. Most were unexpected. Now one of my best friends is struggling to keep her dad alive. My daughter's best friend just lost her father-in-law. My mother is alive but dementia has stolen her life. So yes, you are absolutely right.

@gnatsmom that is one of my biggest fears. dementia. i can't imagine how horrible for myself and my loved ones to be forgetting who they are and things i need to do.
