Just finished the season one.The Handmaid's Tale
The Handmaid's Tale is a dystopian novel by Canadian author Margaret Atwood,
This was a very weird series that I ever saw.
Remind me of soft pornography .
This is a society of Gilead.
women can't own land,handle money,no reading.
Some of the women give birth and the child is taken away.
Fertile females are forced to produce heir for the elites there.
Have anyone here seen this?

@CaptAlbertWhisker Yeah, that is not really good. i am definitely glad that we have amazing rights for women here.

Lets say it will make you happy that you have great rights for women in your country. the women on this show are treated like commodities. Like how women are treated in Afghanistan in the 2000's.

@amadeo this show is set in an alternate time line. A very terrible what if scenario. It is something people should watch to realize how lucky they are.

I watched the first season of that series last year.
It wasn't very good, but intriguing, so after watching some of it I was drawn in to see how much more weird/strange it could get. And based on that I'll probably watch some of the second season.
Margaret Atwood is known for her strange works.

I was familiar with the tale and it did not sound good to me, so have not watched it. I am going to watch Season 4 of Bosch, great cop show, on Amazon.

I read the book years ago and still own a copy. I've seen the first episode of this and have been working up the nerve to watch the next one. It's painstakingly true to the book.
