ACCIDENT/crime.

Last night, I was shared a post on Facebook by a male colleague about a road accident. The van with 9 passengers met an accident and there were 5 fatalities on the spot. The netizens said the driver was drowsy; others said a side of the road had scattered corn grains for drying and maybe the driver’s eyes were suddenly struck with the sun’s rays causing the van to turn around. Pictures of the victims were shown. But what bothered me was some of the victims are from my locality/barangay. Then this morning: We attended the 9:30AM mass and when the officiating priest was about to give his final blessings, he mentioned for the faithful to pray for the eternal repose of the soul of Father MV. When we arrived home, my kid brother (who is traveling to Subic) sent through chat messenger, the pictures of the slain priest. It happened at 8AM today after the priest was blessing the children. The assailants (riding-in-tandem with helmets on) fired at the priest, who died on the spot. There are many comments of condolences to the family of the priest and rants and curses to the suspects. The young priest is aged 27 only. His smiling face is shown in all the posts pertaining to the crime. With this, I am asking this question: What is happening to the world? EDITED: Father MV is aged 37. I might have pressed the wrong key.

That's tragic for everyone. The world is facing times we never did before. Satan knows his time is short with all the signs Jesus gave us to watch for, and is doing all he can to mess with the lives of everyone he can.

@ridingbet No, I haven't seen that. I hope they kept those women from entering the church.

This is definitely really sad. It's really hard to comprehend what is going on. It doesn't make sense at all.

@ridingbet It probably is going down. As much as we may be hearing of all these things, there are still some good things in the world.

i believe all nations have road accidents. also road rage is something that our government should look into. the people now are not afraid to be caught by the police authorities.

@ridingbet That is very true especially in areas where the authorities are corrupt.

@aureliah i read in the news about 3 abusive policemen who barged in a residential house. the situation was videoed and presented to the chief of staff, so the 3 were sacked from their jobs.

@mlgen1037 the priest's appearance showing his head full of blood, i believe, will leave marks on those who saw him on the spot. one minute he was smiling, next minute he was already on the floor all bloodied.

The shooting of the priest is the second in four months if I'm not mistaken. The young priest is known for his advocacy against mining.

oh yes, i thought it was logging. mining 'pala'. yes, father MV was a good priest. and then again, some people from a political party are riding with the news, calling for the immediate solution and capture of the suspects. the first priest who was murdered is already a retired priest.
