Missing the Beach

I have been home about three hours and I am already missing the beach. I have got to figure a way to get rich so I can buy a beach house and go down there whenever I want. We didn't get to spend much time on the beach because our whole day on Saturday was consumed with the dance competitions. It was worth it, though, for my little Pumpkin Head (grand daughter) to know her Grams was there supporting her. The time we got to spend on the beach, this morning, was a lot of fun. I had intended on just laying in the sun. However, my 16 year old daughter and my 6 year old grand baby wanted me in the water with them. So that is where I ended up. I left my other two daughters and my best friend sun bathing, while I splashed around in very cold water. Again, it was worth it to see my sweet ones happy.

I can understand your feelings of missing the beach after having so much of fun and enjoyment there along with your loving family. I feel very happy for you and for the entire family! Thanks a lot for sharing your experience @gnatsmom!

I can feel much the same when I return from a trip. It is funny to play around in quite cold water. It was so lovely for you to spend time with your little ones in the water, On my latest trip I liked paddling along the waters edge in Sri Lanka with my 8 year old daughter. It was a lovely looking tropical beach with white sand beaches and green palm trees which gently waved in the breeze. In the end it got much hotter so we had go away from that beach. Later on our trip we went to a beautiful beach on Bohol Island. I loved seeing the coconut palm trees again. My daughter and I swam in the aquamarine sea. Wow. It was such a special trip that I won't ever forget.

To me, there is nothing better than the beach and spending time with our grandkids.

I love the beach. Can't wait until it is beach time here. We love close to a lot of beaches so we spend a lot of time there in the summer.

I love the beach, always have, always will. Even as a child I wouldn't leave the beach each time we went there. Good thing, my uncle owns one and we could go there whenever we want as it was near our home. But now I don't go there anymore. I prefer a much more beautiful one on an island.

haven't been to the beach in awhile. Wonder if the boys are interested in going to the beach. They're in tuned to the technology.

Leaving the beach behind is never easy. I live in Florida, and I miss the beach 5 minutes after I leave it. Luckily, I'm close enough to go back!
