Captcha typing! Worth it?

During my search for an online job I stumble upon an offer that confuses me, a captcha typing job. For those of you who have no idea, captcha is a text or image verification which you need to type in the provided box in order to prove you are human not a robot. and I ask myself why would anyone offer this type of job to prove that I'm human and what is their purpose for so many captcha to be type by many people? Some claim that they were paid good amount of money for this job, and they consider it as a stable and easiest way to get money online. What do you think?
