Ticks everywhere!

Philippines
May 4, 2018 4:20am CST
Today I went to my brother's house to help their puppies remove their ticks. It should have been everyday but I had no time to visit except when I bring the kids dinner. So I took care of the puppies one by one, I feel their cry every time I remove it from their ears. But one thing frightens me more was that they were mostly lurking on the ground. I couldn't count how many times some of them had crawled into my shorts while removing ticks from the puppy. My sister in law did warn about ticks during summer but didn't know that it was a swarm. I had to do it because two of their dogs died because of ticks.

I don't know what ticks are, but I hope the dogs can be better soon.

Please do not let it bite you. I have seen my father in law when he was bitten on is feet and they do not have dog in their house. He endured the pain and itch for several days. He had to go to a dermatologists because the bite became a small round wound that ballooned with water inside. Not a good site to see

#1, they need to get the area treated and #2, the dogs should be getting tick and flea treatments @Letranknight2015 .

@nanette64 they're more concern with the mosquito infestation.

@Letranknight2015 I would think that would be a concern to the city and they should be doing something about it.

I always wear a hat when I hike. Here, they like to drop from trees and get a free ride/meal.
