Despite Trump's claims, there are politicans who have been treated worse than he has.

'(President Trump focused on his own hardships since taking office during his commencement address at the United States Coast Guard Academy, saying, "No politician in history — and I say this with great surety — has been treated worse or more unfairly.") ' Anyone can find books in public libraries, bookstores or on the Internet about the history of such topics as political satire and editorial cartoons, for example, to see how politicans have been treated. I'm willing to bet that this practice was made popular since the invention of the printing press. It is possible that almost all U.S. Presidents and other political leaders were popular targets of this practice since this country was founded and citizens were given the freedom to do express their opinions publically. In my lifetime, all U.S. Presidents from Kennedy to Trump were subjects of unfavorable and less than flattering media and public attention. For the purpose of this article, I will reference friendly satire and I have listed a few of the more famous examples. In the early 1960's, Vaughn Meader made a record album entitled "The First Family" poking fun at President Kennedy's family. Comedian Chevy Chase use to poke fun at President Gerald Ford for being clumsy. President Jimmy Carter was teased for, among other things, discussing current affairs with his young daughter Amy. Like President Trump, President Bill Clinton was teased for his fondness for fast food and sweets. The big difference is that all of the previous Presidents, both Republican and Democrat, managed to remain composted and acted with dignity when dealing with the negativity which is a part of the job. Even Richard Nixon, widely known for his "displeasure" with the press, managed to be restrained in public most of the time. Mr. Trump, until there are posters with your head in the crosshairs of a rifle's scope; a doll bearing your likeness, has a rope around it's neck and is set on fire or until an attempt is made on your life, you are far from being the most mistreated politican in history.
