the breakfast cereal and the milk

My son bought himself a big box of breakfast cereal, Koko Crunch. I also suggested him to buy a liter of fresh milk for that. He recalls me buying him boxes of cereals when he was still a little boy and now he is reliving it again. He takes a bowl of the cereal every morning. He smiles at me whenever he eats. Few minutes ago, he told me," mama, not because it is called breakfast cereal, it should be eaten in the morning, right?" I smiled and said," yes I know. You can eat that even as a snack." ,to which he did. He is finished eating a bowl and now he is outside watering the plants. Do you eat breakfast cereals even in the afternoon?

yes, that colorful star-shaped ceral, right? i forgot if they are colored. when my son was already in high school, he ate breakfast with rice, even in college. now, he thought of the breakfast he had when he was in elementary grades--- cereals.

Anytime is the right time for "breakfast" cereal. It's quick and easy. However, I find that cereal doesn't satisty my appetite. If I have cereal for dinner, I'm usually nibbling on other food shortly afterwards.

@ridingbet ~I try to get healthier cereal like raisin bran or Special K with red berries but occassional enjoy a bowl of Reese's Puffs (for rhe chocoholic in me), Trix and other sweet cereals that O ate when I was a kid. Frosted Schredded Wheat is good for cleaning out my plumbing.

there is a perception that cereals are good for breakfast; hence, breakfast cereal, but this is my personal opinion.

Am not one for cereals but yes, the trend these days is All Day Breakfast. Good parent-child bonding.

thank you. i think nibbling cereals is far better than the packs of junk food like Chippy, because these are salty.

@ridingbet Junk food belongs to the trash. Birds don't even eat junk chippy. Not for a child's stomach. Nor an adult's.

@eileenleyva true. but what can you say about the snack foods that brag about fiber and vitamins/minerals like Nova?

we have oats too, and usually it is my sister who prepares the table with bowls and spoons, and the canister of oats for breakfast. sugar and milk also served with our cups of coffee. i believe the oats we have is the ready to eat just by adding hot water.

I don't eat breakfast cereals too often, I buy a box once or twice a year. But when I have breakfast cereal at home, I can eat it anytime, even in the afternoon.
