Notifications, fun or a chore?

In the past I have found my notifications a chore but for the last few months I have enjoyed responding to them although I'm not sure why I've changed my attitude, maybe because I've stuck at them this time and got to know people well.
It can be a little daunting to log in first thing and see so many but once I get going I find I get so absorbed in them I lose track of time. I've finally realised MyLot is a good place to be.
How do you feel when you see so many notifications?

I feel blessed to know I have many friends who care enough to read, like, comment and respond to my discussions and to my responses/comments on others discussions. It really is a two way street.

@Starmaiden Yes it is. On the one hand I think "Oh it will take me ages to get through these" and on the other hand it's great that my friends are helping me earn

Sometimes if I am tired, then answering notifications can seem like a chore. But for the most part, I enjoy doing them. Lately, I have been having quite a few but I like talking to people.

@morgoodie I didn't make a payout this month but it was my own fault as I was very lazy. I was 9 cents short 
. I just didn't feel like coming back here to make the extra but I'll get a bigger payout next time.

@sprite1950 Right. I answer all of them but I probably don't get as many as you or some of the other people here. There is one person that we have conversations like you and I, but she is in the same time zone as me so we go back and forth all day. Which is nice since I now have made over the minimum. I made the most money yesterday that I have made so far since I have been here. I was able to make $0.59. I was impressed. There's a lot of activity around here being the end of the month and all.

I used to panic when I saw so many notifications. (Especially since I shut down every notification except direct tags and messages on my second day on myLot.) I was receiving 150+ every day.
Now, (when I was still here) I do enjoy seeing who talks to me and who doesn't respond to what I say.
I am just here for a little while tonight. (I have been so tired I only work, eat and sleep now. Today I received a steroid shot from my doctor and it has left me fidgety and unable to go back to sleep. I have no idea how long I will be awake, though.)

@sprite1950 I had to have a steroid shot today to force my allergies to stop. It caused me to sleep for nine hours and has left me wide awake and fidgety now.
I have been missing so many of my friends here that I came for the night. (I don't work tomorrow, so I can sleep then.
I am very happy to see you still here. I am no longer surprised by anything you say or do here!

@sprite1950 I check some people (you included) and try to answer some of their posts and then move to the "most recent discussions" and respond to some discussions that interest me.

I don't think I get as many as some people. Usually I have fewer than 10 when I log in (although lately there is one user who is practically spamming my posts with random comments, so I have 30 or so notifications if she's been on. She means well, she thinks she's helping me earn more money that way, but that's not really how I like to do MyLot).

Yes I had that problem with someone but it was far more than 30. It was my discussions since the beginning of time! I answered them in the end but I was worried that admin would think it was odd. I just checked with them first and they said it was fine but I didn't like it and I didn't return the favour.

@thehousewife I was worried that admin would think I had some kind of private arrangement going on with this person but when I asked them they said there was no rule that says we can't do that and we weren't obliged to reply to them.

@thehousewife I don't expect to hear from people I follow or like hearing from every day. It's nice if I do but we all have lives outside MyLot and sometimes cant get round to talking to everyone. If a person responds to many of my discussions it doesn't mean I will do the same in return although I usually like to comment on one.

It makes me smile to sign in and see how many notifications I received. I am thankful for each and every one of them. They really make my day and my time on here so enjoyable. Sometimes I take a few days to reply to all of them but I do get to them as soon as I can.

Sometimes it overwhelms me, but I do eventually get to them all. I try to keep up as best I can, but some days it can really be difficult. I spent a lot of today going through older posts and seeing if I missed any comments. It appears I missed a lot, but I made a note of where I left off, so I should be able to get to all of them eventually.
