Recently, the Philippines has been under the radar for organization like Miss Universe, Miss World and Mister World.
Miss Universe 2017 Demi (South Africa) visited the country with Miss Universe 2016 Iris (France) and re-united with Miss Universe 2015 (Philippines).
Miss World and Mister World 2017 are both from India. They visited the Philippines for the Beauty with a Purpose Project.
Good to see Indian Nationals winning contests like these.
This reminded me of India's bet, Sushmita Sen.
Sushmita Sen was crowned as Miss Universe 1994 in the Philippines. Sushmita is an Indian.

New Delhi right? I just heard that there is an actor in the Philippines from New Delhi. He is a full blooded Indian but was welcomed to work here. Manushi is a beautiful Miss World and intelligent.

@jobelbojel , Yes, indeed! It takes a lot to become a Miss World and she has got everything in her to justify it! In local news papers it was mentioned by her neighbors that she is a down to earth person too! Thanks!

@suni51 how can I forget. 1994 competition was held in the Philippines where there were only 7,107 islands that year. Now it is more than that.

i like Sushmita Sen. our bet Charlene Gonzales was the 4th runner up. i remember the question hurled to the finalists.

Charlene was in the top 6 like Maxenne Medina. Both pageants were held in the Philippines.

@jobelbojel during Charlene's time, there were only 5 finalists, 10 semi-finalists, and the question and answer portion was, i think, in the semi-final round, until the top 5 were the ones left.

Yes, Sushmita SEn is really beauty and brain. And she seems so kind too.
I can vividly remember that Ms. Universe pageant here where she won as the Ms. Universe.
