Cheap Gifts!

I remembered being asked years ago by my little daughter, 'Mom, what can I get for you on Mothers' Day? You seem to want nothing but can you just suggest some cheap stuff for me to get for you?'
Aren't children amusing and down to earth?
(I told her at the time (after laughing a bit), 'Do get me some seedlings for any flowers that you fancy.')
Are you looking forwards this Mothers' Day?

I think that its nice that we celebrate Mothers and Fathers Days.
But I also feel that its a bit of an obligatory notion in today's society.
I feel that our son and his wife treat us like its Mothers and Fathers Day every day of the year.
And I know that probably sounds corny, but a card cannot say what is in our children's hearts, a picture frame cannot capture the love that is in their eyes. Gifts are nice, we all enjoy them, but time spent together, that's what I really want. I don't care for all of the attention otherwise.
Happy Mother's Day!!

It is better to ask than give something that is of no use Your daughter is wise. So did she buy you those seeds. Tell us the story.

My kids are like that too ..they don't know what to give me ..
But when they were little, they used to make me cards and I still keep them in my treasure box ..

I remember as a kid always asking my mom for money so that I could buy her a Mother's Day gift! I don't know why, but I never thought to ask my dad for the money! lol

My mother has been gone for 14 years and my mother in law a bit longer. I have no children of my own, although a friend sent me a FB card from my cat thanking me for being such a great cat mom. I will spend the day remembering all the good times with my Mom and MIL. I hope you have a great day!
