A Place In The Woods To Rest My Weary Bones

I would dearly love a place in the woods to rest my weary bones. One the exudes peace and harmony. Somewhere where I can examine my mind. A bench with a view, maybe of a pond or small stream with the water gently lapping against it's shore. Somewhere where the trees surround and shelter me as the wind softly blows through the leaves. A place where the mind can rest as well as the body. A spot all my own to go when I grow weary of the hustle and bustle of the world that surround me. What would a place such as this look like to you?

I have to weigh the pro`s and con`s. The pro -Love the photo and its perfect, The con - but there are mosquitoes that will eat you alive, snakes love this scene too. I have to chose the beach with the roar of the ocean waves tuning out all the noise, a umbrella if I got to hot, cold drinks in the small cooler.

I do live in a place like that, but am too afraid to sit in the woods or close to it due to my fear of snakes and spiders. I have a condo on the water in Florida which is my favorite place to be.

I have heard that if you sprinkle the area with lime it will keep the snakes away. The lime will burn their skin. As for the spiders and mosquitoes I wish I had a way to keep them far, far away.

I would love it. All I have to do is walk to the creek at the back of our complex and I'm there. I don't go as often as I should but it's quiet and peaceful.

@HazySue There's a trail along the tree lined creek with a few small decks with benches. A perfect place to sit and be peaceful. I have a picture of it on one of my discussions.

@HazySue I think that is a great idea. I sit on my porch on Saturday and really do not hear a lot of what is going on inside and if people go away it is nice and quiet here.

I also like to be in a peaceful place where all I can hear is the gushing of the water or the sound of the birds humming. Where there is a cold wind. I can easily fall asleep with that. And this place is perfect.

I do my relaxing on the beach. To me being in the sunshine, reading a book or magazine, and listening to music on my headphones is a bit of heavenly peace. All I have to do is look out at the waves rolling in to have a little nature at my doorstep....

It sounds great. water is also my serene spot. Unfortunately the sun doesn't lie me so I need to be somewhere where I am surrounded by heavier shade.
