I live in England so I have had plenty of trips using EasyJet and a few with Irish airline Ryanair. I did a couple of long haul trips on a charter airline called First Choice however it doesn't seem to be around anymore. For my last trip I was impressed with Turkish Airlines. They gave my children an activity pack with wooden toys. We also managed to go on Air Asia. Finally we came home on Norwegian Air.

Hello Jessa. Asia has some low cost airlines these days. I flew into Cebu from Kuala Lumpur and then from there to Singapore on Air Asia.

In India we have Indigo Airlines, that are not only cheap but popular for their punctuality. The air crafts are good and well maintained and the staff is very courteous too! I always prefer to travel by this air lines only! Thanks!

@maximax8 , It is more than some decades I prefer to fly instead of taking trains for several reasons! Thanks!

That sounds like a very good airline. I decided to take overnight trains in India.

@allen0187 That is a pity. I hate to be over booked.

@maximax8 the official carrier, Philippine Airlines is also a pain. Cebu Pacific is notorious for overbooking flights and then off-loading hapless passengers.

@maximax8 My current favourite is Aer Lingus. I flew Aeroflot back in Soviet days and the horror stories are all true. The very best (in 1977) was Syrian Arab Airlines and Thai International wasn't bad either. What I couldn't do would be to fly on Wizz or Scoot - I'd just feel ridiculous sitting away up there in a metal tube with Wizz or Scoot written on the side.

@xFiacre A 50% refund so that must have been amazing.

@maximax8 it’s great. I’m not long back from Athens flying with Aer Lingus. Their boarding system is useless there and I complained about non priority passengers being boarded before those who paid for priority boarding and they gave me a 50% refund on the tickets.
