Those Sheets Have To Go!

Around ten days ago I bought a new comforter and it was a full set, with shams, bed skirt and sheets. Its a light comforter and washable, summer type. I really like the comforter. When I bought the comforter set I had just changed the bed sheets that morning so I did not use the new sheets that came with it until this week. I had not thought to look and see what they were made of but I knew they were soft and slick / shiny, I just knew they would feel good on my skin. Well, last night was night two of sleeping on these sheets and they have to go! I have not had a whole nights good sleep because of these sheets, One hour I sleep well, the next I am sweating, next I am searching for the darn things because they slid nearly off the bed and I am cold. Even my head is sliding off the pillow. This morning I looked at the tag inside the pillow case to see what the heck these are made of and its 100% polyester! I said just in a whisper "WTF?" polyester? The thoughts of my childhood of waiting tables and having to wear those hot polyester uniforms came rushing back, No wonder I was not comfortable. I just changed my bed sheets back to good old cotton. I should sleep like a baby tonight. Have you ever heard of sheets being made from polyester?

Yes and just like silk they are all over the bed. They might be worth saving for a cold night this winter

At first I thought they were silk sheets - totally wrong for hot weather. I feel most comfortable with cotton sheets and pillowcases.

I like cotton when it's warm and fleece when it is cold.

I don't like polyester. They stink and too warm for summer. I always buy cotton for my bedsheets.

Yes, bought some because of the color. I made them into something else or sold them or something because they were not good for me either.

Now I could make something with them, if I don`t give them away.

Not that I can remember but cotton for me is the best. What did you do with your polyester sheets?

@andriaperry so you planning to keep it and not use it or are you giving it away to someone who wants it? Just curious.

I cannot sleep with polyester sheets, my skin itches. I opened an old trunk thinking it was empty and I found inside 6 full set of bed sheets, I surely bought when I got married. They are still perfect. I am going to use them.
