After a weekend that I'm still trying to find words to describe, I'm back. I'm about to post the next song on my list of favorites dealing with shoes.
But first......
Here's a random Linda Ronstadt song as a prize to @JohnRoberts . Why? Because, when I announced this topic, he pegged the next song on my list as being one of the songs that would show up.
So, in honor of his accurate guess, here's his favorite singer.

She never recorded it. It’s a live version of a song off the first Eagles album.

@TheHorse — no, this live recording is 1973, after the Eagles had split from being her backing band.
Here’s one, however, that DOES feature the Eagles backing her. You can hear Glenn Frey quite prominently near the end.
