You're banned!

I've never been banned from a site and I certainly wouldn't like it. I'm not a rule breaker so if it did happen it would be an accident. I was reading on another site that some people take on various troll identities and get banned on a regular basis. They never think it's their fault and care nothing for rules but surely there must come a time where they are banned from all sites and can no longer post. I think if I had a temporary ban I would come back and try and keep in with the admin of a site as I wouldn't want to make myself unpopular. I might use a different user name as I would find it quite embarrassing. How would you feel if you were banned and would you come back under the same username or choose another name?

If I am banned for a genuine reason then I would request the admin to give me another chance and rejoin and if banned accidentally then also I will approach the admin to explain all about it! I think admin of the sites are always very co operative and understanding! Thanks!

Yes most bans seem to be temporary and acting as a warning rather than a permanent ban,

i know a user who was banned several times and now the user is back. i hope the user will know the user's limitations so the account is no longer banned.

Well they must give that person plenty of chances if they've been banned more than once.

I have not banned anywhere so far. If some one violate rules then admin has their own reasons to ban the person. If mistakes repeat, then it create problems. One must learn from mistakes.

Yes I think most of us do but trolls do not care and seem to deliberately provoke admin.

If I had been banned without a reason, I would come back with my username and ask the Admin to write about the problem. I cannot see how I could be banned from a site, I am not a rule breaker.

That's how I feel. Once on another site someone was really rude to me and I wanted to retaliate but the thought of being banned stopped me.

@LadyDuck Yes there have been one or two rude people here I notice but not that often. I avoid threads where I think there may be heated discussion/

@sprite1950 I prefer to report people who are rude. I also send a message to the Admin if I see trolls on the site.

@sprite1950 @LadyDuck @Icydoll Once I was banned on the site bubblews. I was never informed why. I never broke a rule. I found six other members to whom the same had happened. It must have been one of admin Arvind's mad ideas of ruling the site according to his twisted ideas. Obviously, he thought that a rule of random terror would discipline the members.

Nothing surprises me about that site. I often heard horror stories relating to the way people were treated although I never had a problem myself. People used to say that you were ok if you came from the US or UK but I know people who had payment problems who came from those countries.

Coming from Bubblews I am not surprised, Arvind was not the worst there, but a couple of very young silly moderators did stupid things.

I generally try to follow the rules, so I have never been banned from a site, nor do I ever plan to get banned from a site. I come here to meet people, have fun, relax, and earn a few pennies, so I'm not going to do anything to rock the boat, so to say

I notice that some people try to wind you up though or leave a comment that makes you wonder if they are getting at you. I just ignore those.

@moffittjc Recently I put up a discussion that was similar to another one here .. it was a pure accident and my own fault because I didn't check. Luckily I knew the person because we are friendly on another site too so I messaged him and apologised and he was cool about it. There was one person who left more than one sneaky comment about it .. so I just ignored it even though it did annoy me.

@sprite1950 Trust me, there are plenty of comments I receive that I just ignore. Sometimes it's just not worth getting into a heated discussion with some of these buffoons.

I had a war of words with Humanatic - all their fault but rather than apologising they ban me. I cannot get back there as they must be having my IP address and they do not accept my registration.

@sprite1950 They were not clear about 'no call' which we are not supposed to work on if I remember right. It was a long time ago. This link has some information on it From 100 rating I went down to 75 just because I worked on a no call or whatever it is called. And there was no explanation given at that time. They added it later.

I have never been banned, but this group of ladies, I am familar with on other site, come back, saying they are men. I can easily spot the as well as others, by the language they use and people they like to bother. They cause a lot of trouble, so they get banned , but what good does it do when they come back as someone else.

I got all my money there but it was so weird how it disappeared overnight without a word. I think people have more respect for an admin if they say there are in trouble and let them know they are going.

It depends, I suppose, on what I thought of the site, and perhaps what I felt about their decision to ban me. So far, knock on wood, I have never been banned from a site either.

I think I'm only likely to be banned if I lost my temper .. you know what it's like if you feel angry. I could possibly write something offensive if I was upset, It's not that likely though.

It is an embarrassment for me. But if i did nothing wrong then i will surely do something to explain my side. I do believe that the admins whoever they are can be considerate enough to accept reasons. They will not be admins if they are not.

I think most admins give more than one chance if they ban a person. Most people want to be happy on a site and not cause problems.

I had never been banned before in any forum. I will tend to adjust myself whenever needed. If the forum want a serious tone, I give it to them. If they want a lighter tone, I give it to them. My fear is always that we give them a complex and serious reply, no one can catch it
