10 Abused Children

Another story in the paper about unspeakably horrid parents. These parents live In a large lovely home in California, I believe it was. One child ran away and reported their living conditions. When police arrived they found a nasty house with 10 hungry abused children. Neighbors didn't know the couple had children in the house. Parents claimed they home schooled the children. Parents had pelted them with pellet guns and beaten them. The children were bruised and had small wounds all over their bodies. There were also questions about sexual abuse. The children were taken away and the parents were arrested and put in jail. It reminds me of last year when parents had 20 children they kept tied to beds that were almost starved to death.

@LadyDuck I can't understand why parents would deliberately hurt their children. We usually try to spare our children pain.

They deserve anything they get. Those poor little children.

It's hard to imagine people doing that to their children, I hope they stay in jail for a very long time.

So unbelievable coming from large homes and well to do families. We have cases of drunkards selling their daughters but this too much.

I hope so. These were young children. The parents were in 29 and 30. They must have had a baby a year.

I can imagine. I could say a few things to them. They need to have to suffer what the children suffered.

That was a horrible situation. I cannot believe that people can get away with treating their children like that.

@RubyHawk - I agree that these people should be locked up. It will be traumatizing for their children if the parents ever get out of prison and try to contact them. I just don't understand how anyone could do that.

It's hard to believe that parents abuse their children. But we read of it often.I hope they're locked up a long time.

@DeborahDiane I don't believe anyone normal parent can understand it. I certainly can't. It's beyond my imagination.

So do I. I hope a grandparent could take the children. But I doubt that any one family could take 10 children.

Honestly, I hated "liking" this, because of what it's about. As things like this really piss me off. Shaking My Head.

That is really horrible. I can't understand they did that to their 10 children. As for the other parents that tied their children to beds and staved them that is again just as bad. In the UK every baby gets a birth certificate and midwives know a baby has been born. Every parent gets invited to apply for a school place. If home schooling some going out of the house will be necessary.

No normal parent can understand such horrible parents. They had to be insane. I feel so sorry for the little children.Every child gets a birth certificate here. But nobody checks on children unless somebody turns in a complaint and neighbors didn't even know they had children.

Oh my god. If they don't want children, they simply should not have one! The last year thing was also so shocking because I did not know of it.

It's so terrible when parents abuse their own children. If they don't want them why not give them away, or as you say why have them in the first place. These parents have to be mentally deficient.

This sounds like the one that was on all the tv stations recently. Dr Oz had a few shows about them. The Turpin family is the one I am thinking about. This family has 13 children. Such an absolutely horrible thing for these kids to go through.

this is a discussion that i do not like to hit the word LIKE. i hope those parents will suffer because of the wrongdoing they did to the children. it would have been better if they let their kids be adopted.
