It was a busy week for house maintenance. Not exactly my cup of tea any longer. Who wants to oversee the plumber or the carpenter at work? Sigh, do not get me wrong but those days of seeing the construction of my house were enough. Dealt with laborers, masons, electricians, etcetera, one too many. Spare me now the trouble, I pray. The suman vendor Rose laughed at me when I told her my problems. I know, I know, I said, my problems are not problems at all, just minor inconveniences that can be solved with a hearty meal. So, after the plumber left, I went to treat my self with my favorite pancit bijon con lechon. And I got a Mother's Day greet, too.

Call me a glutton and I will admit to it, but yes, I love food. Food is nourishment for the body. When nourished properly, the person functions much better, thereby, good for the heart and soul, too.

I have to take home half of that meal. It was a huge helping. I do not eat big meals any more.
