What inspires you to write?

What is it that inspires you to write?
For me it is deep emotions, and feelings. Sadness, deep thoughts and even dark things. At the same time I can see the wonderful and good things in life. and those are inspiration as well.
But what inspires you all to write?

I am inspire to write when I am sad or overly excited or when I felt the need to write.

I write fiction. But it would be a good idea to write about my life story

I enjoy writing, because when I write, my thoughts won't get interrupted. I like writing, because I can gain more clarity in my own thought processes. Writing helps me to think.
