A bit trouble with anti virus softwares

I don't know how many restart that AVG has asked of me, but it has gotten to the point were I had to uninstalled and re-installed it.
But sadly I had to uninstall Mcafee which had been good to my laptop. I couldn't renew contract because it requires me VISA card ( not paypal ) which cost 50$ for a year.
Any anti virus out there that is affordable and doesn't cost that much? I had no idea AVAST bought AVG, no wonder they looked the same when I downloaded Avast.

Because of the virus, malwares that hackers might do on your device if your surfing the net.

if you access a pc or laptop very often, you'll uninstall software at least once. Many pcs come preinstalled with junkware

I just use Windows Defender, it comes with the computer and its free. Look it up and cut it on.

@Letranknight2015 You have to change the name of the file related to that annoying program if it refuses to let you delete it (it did in my case).

I stopped using Avast because of the danged pop ups. I followed all instructions to make those things go away and it didn't help and it is very heavy on resources. As of now I'm using Bitdefender and it's so easy to forget it's even there it's so low maintence. I uninstalled it once because I thought it wasn't doing anything, but it is. It just doesn't make a lot of noise about it.

Hello @cupkitties I had no idea that they have tons of pop ups. Good thing I uninstalled right after installing it. I have seen this bitdefender but have not search it through.
