On May 17, 2018 I saw a fascinating minor league game between the Phillies Triple A Team The Iron Pigs, and the Yankees Triple A Team the Rail Riders. The Rail Riders won in extra innings. The game was intriguing as the Iron Pigs are dominated by left handed hitters. I think they had about 6 or 7 in their starting lineup. Can anyone tell me why the Phillies are loading up on left handed hitters? Are left handed hitters the future of baseball? Do the Phillies know something I do not know?
