Snuck out for lunch and a cocktail!

I skipped brunch with my husband’s family. Instead I was busy at home. I cleaned out the bird’s room, I moved my 100+ cookbooks from the kitchen back to the bird room, I cleared off the island, I cleared off the kitchen racks, and I dusted and removed the cookbook shelves. The kitchen is being repainted this week (along with the front room and hallway) so things need to be moved and put away. I worked for a solid 2.5 hours and then showered, got dressed, and came to our regular for lunch and a couple of cocktails. I figure I earned it. Then I’ll head back home and start taking everything down from the walls. I also need to clean the bathroom. At least that is one house-cleaning chore I don’t mind. What’s for lunch at your house?
