Pressure Wash

I can't believe I caught up all my notifications. I wasn't here for two days so I had a bunch. I felt so bad yesterday I did very little. Our deck was supposed to be pressure washed this morning so I had to move all the deck furniture inside that I could squeeze in and move the swing and chairs against the wall. But they didn't show up all day. I hope they come early in the morning so I can use the deck. We drove to the park today and I carried a few books for the book box. Sherlock Holmes and The Da Vinci Code. It was almost empty so we got there in good time. I'd hate for someone to go for a book and find it empty.

They still don't have our deck washed. When my better half .called the office, they said they didn't know when the crew would get to our deck. So everything is still stacked in the living room. I think they should have a plan and let us know the day. I wouldn't have moved everything if I'd known.

@RubyHawk you would think they would have a time and day to be there , like everyone else who goes to homes to do stuff does.

@Courtlynn That's what we thought when the management sent us an email saying to be ready for them Monday.

@RubyHawk I hate when you do all that work and the people do not show up. Have you heard from them again to see why they did not show up?

I wrote this last spring and as I remember they didn’t come back. It was an aggravation to move everything and then they didn’t come to clean the deck. I might have written why they didn’t come. I don’t remember.

@Hannihar it was so irritating. I had porch furniture piled up in the living room until I found they weren't coming. In fact the apartment owners thought they had come.By that time they were of the property.

@RubyHawk Sorry, I did not see that one. That is very aggravating to have to move stuff and then they do not show up. That is so frustrating.

@RubyHawk I like most of the books written by Dan Brown. Da Vinci is simple to me to remember, because the tile refers to our Italian Genius Leonardo Da Vinci.

So did I and thanks for the correct spelling. I'd forgotten the spelling. I read both books years ago and finally gave them up for someone else to read.

@LadyDuck Actually I can't recall any other books written by Dan Brown. I must have read others. But sometimes I forget what I've read.

I've always wanter to buy a pressure washer but still don't have the budget for it. Just have to contend with the water pressure from the water company to clean the car :)

We had one when we lived in a house but we have no use for one in an apartment. We can’t wash our car here. We must go to a car wash.

@sunrisefan Could be, It’s better for cars to be washed at home but our only option is the car wash.

@RubyHawk Sounds practical for you to just go to the carwash :) With my former car, I often had it washed at the shop but with our new car, I wash it personally because modern cars have many sensors and I'm afraid the car wash boys might accidentally hit the sensors with high pressure water.

Pressure washing really does spruce up a deck. I need to have mine done soon.

It does make your deck cleaner but I keep mine clean anyway so it didn't make a lot of difference. My objection was having to move all my deck furniture into the living room and stumbleing over it for a week.

@RubyHawk You are right! I just moved mine in preparation. The job they do is worth the inconvenience for me, lol.

@RubyHawk It is really hard to let go of books. I think I would have separation anxiety if I do. But are you going to give them away?

@mlgen1037 I only give away a few at a time and it's hard. Some I've had for years that I won't give away. I have many I've never read because we go to the library often.

Is the book box a place where you can recycle books?

Yes, you can bring books to the book box or take them. I love the idea.

They are nice. You can donate books you've read and take out one you haven't read. And I like to think someone might take out a book I've donated and enjoy reading it.

Yes, it's nice to have a free book box. I used to take mine to the thrift store or give them to the library but I like this better.

That's just a small portion of my books. I have a full wall with shelves from top to bottom and I have book cases in the bedroom but now I don't buy a book unless I give one away. I just don't have room for more.

There are some days when I think how the heck am I going to get through all of the notifications AND add a discussion AND respond to my comments on my discussions, plus do what I always do and visit commenter's profiles. Somehow I manage, but it may be days out. Hope you get your deck taken care of, and nice looking out for readers. I see those book boxes in quite a few places. Still think it is a neat idea.

I used to answer everything and get a discussion in but since I haven't been well I'm more relaxed but I still feel bad if I don't get it all done.

I usually like the books better than the movies. Sometimes the movie strays from the details in the book.

@Peach10 To Kill A Mockery Bird was one movie that wasn't disappointing. It was almost as good as the book and so was Gone With the Wind.
