Sometimes strange and funny things happen...

Sometimes strange and funny things happen to me. I don't know why they do, but it makes things a bit more fun, even makes me laugh or smile. Here are some of them...
It is raining. I am walking outside with the umbrella open when all of a sudden I realize that I am not holding the umbrella bag in my hand, which has the umbrella in it. I start to panic, thinking I have left the bag with the umbrella in the subway station. I am ready to run back there to see if the bag is still there, when it hits me that I am holding the (open) umbrella in my hands and the bag is in my pocket.
Then, the other day, after some time passes since I get home, I go into my bag for my house keys so I can go check the mail, only to find they are not there. I search for the keys where I think they might be, and even in places they should not be, but they are nowhere to be found. Then I decide to open the door and see if maybe I have left them inside the lock, and that's exactly where they have been all this time. I can't believe it. This turns out to be an unintentional invitation for others to come right in and make themselves at home. Good thing not too much time passes since I have come home.
And this has happened to me more than once...
Metro Cards are supposed to be used to ride the bus or subway/train. Well, sometimes without realizing what I am doing until I do it, I take out the Metro Card when I have to open the door to my house, check out at the store, or take money out of the ATM.
And on the opposite spectrum, when I get to the train station, sometimes instead of taking out the Metro Card to go through the turnstiles I take out my keys or my credit card, ready to swipe.

I remember one time we were going shopping and my mom was running around the house looking for her purse. She couldn't find it anywhere. I was laughing so hard that I couldnt tell her that she had it over her shoulder. She had a great laugh when she finally figured it out.

@lovebuglena Hmmm. Maybe you should find places in your household and your handbags where certain things *ALWAYS* are. You must never put them anywhere else. Maybe this can help.

@MALUSE And how about putting things in odd places? One time, my dad was looking for his wallet. He searched everywhere for it and couldn't find it. Then I opened the freezer to take something out and saw his wallet right next to the frozen chicken.

I'm only 35 and yet I forget things or can't find things that are sometimes in front of me...

The thing that happens the most to me is trying to find my sunglasses when they are on top of my head. Another one is swiping my drivers license in a store instead of my debit card. I get so messed up sometimes its like what the heck did i just do. Funny but not funny at the same time like im loosing my darn mind or something.

You are right. Some things are funny but not funny at the same time. Like looking for your glasses when you are actually wearing them on your face (not your head) or looking for something you are holding in your hand. It's like you are going crazy.
One time I picked up the TV remote about to dial the number I was trying to call and then realized I was trying to make a call via TV remove instead of my phone.
