The painting project was finished yesterday afternoon

It only took my father in law 2 days to paint the ceilings and walls of the front room, hallway, and kitchen. He did such a wonderful job and it was amazing of him to do it for us!
The gray in the front room and hallway looks great. Apparently gray is very trendy these days. I don't pay attention to those things so it is pure coincidence that we now have a front room that is "in style". 
The blue in the kitchen is darker than it was before and is darker than I am used to. I'm sure I'll get used to it. I do like it but I don't LOVE it. My husband picked it out and I just went with it. In any case, the room looks nice with a fresh coat of paint on the walls and ceiling.
We now just need to paint the trim. We also are going to just paint the kitchen cabinets white. They had a distressed "whitewashed" look but after 14 years, they are showing lots of wear. We plan to rip them out and renovate the kitchen within the next couple of years so we are just going to plain paint the cabinets for now so they pop against the darker blue color that we painted the walls.

I am always doing projects. I just finished my kitchen, its light gray with white trim and white cabinets. I will paint the laundry room , hall and a bathroom soon. My ceilings are okay.

I will use all of the extra paint that my husband bought to paint the office, bedroom, and bird room. Almost all of the rooms in the house will be blue and gray! 
But no one ever sees the office or bird room (gray) and we don't spend any time in the bedroom except to sleep so I don't care if it is the same color as the kitchen. I'll just spend some money to buy a new nice comforter to really make the room look good.
As for projects, mine will be my vegetable beds this weekend.

Only home improvement we have done is tearing out the carpet in our bedroom and putting in hardwood floor in there. Glad you like the painting job your father in law done.

Glad about your home improvement project going fine. Right now, there is a planning for a library for me in one of the balcony. My husband is planning that and since my husband likes carpentry, it will be taken by him and would be gift for me from him. I am waiting for that

@NJChicaa Oh we also have space constraint. We are using half of our open balcony and leaving other half for our morning tea. The little space in front of our bedroom was what I wanted to be my library. But hubby dear used it for bar as it has opening to terrace where he has set up for barbeque parties

Just finishing up selling my house so all the renovations will be left for the new owners next month. I think your new colors sound nice. Enjoy the new look.

Nothing much. I guess ,the major improvement we did since we transferred here in korea was cleaning the toilet. Yup,my hubby and I have just finished cleaning it.According to him, it has ot been cleaned for more than a year. Both my brother-in-law and sister-in-law do not clean the toilet. Ew
