Have you ever heard of this medication?

Atarax is a medication that has been known to help hives, but did you know it also may help anxiety. My sister lost her son a few months ago. The doctor put her on Atarax. it helped her get through the funeral. Now she is still on it. Sure she has sad days, but she is doing better.

I have heard of the medication but never taken it. I know certain meds can have different reasons for taking.

@LaJenna Is it addditive? I have never heard of it but that does not mean anything. I do not live in the United States anymore.

I have tried it. I ended up being allergic to it. It helped a friend of mine though. I take much stronger types of medications for my anxiety now because of how severe my symptoms get.
