While still waiting for the insurance company to refund to me, I will also have to pay taxes this month. Unlike the last year, I am paying almost double of last year tax even through my income don't increases by double this year. It is so sad. . What about you? Have you pay your tax for this year?

Oh goodness, how is it that your taxes increased so much? I am paying every year more or less the same amount.

@id_peace We are both retired now, there are no changes in the amount of pensions we get, the taxes are the same.

But why do you pay anything to insurance company if they do not make a refund in time? I think you have the option to knock consumer court if your refund is overdue!

They are responsive on this and they will work with the banks to absorb all the charges

I was lucky with my taxes this year. No payments and a decent refund. I am able to deduct my home and other expenses which really helps. Sorry about your tax year. May better returns be in your future!
