Sandcastle Tribute to the Royal Wedding

The morning of the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, I was walking on the beach with a friend and happened to see this man building an incredible sand castle tribute to the couple. Notice the heart shaped decorations in several locations along the top edges of the castle! He wasn't quite finished with his artistic creation, but I loved it when he let me take a picture while he was hard at work.

It amazes me the talent some of these sand sculptors have with their creations. It's amazing! No matter how hard I've tried over the years, I just have not been able to master any award-winning sand castle creations! So I'll just leave the masterpieces to guys like this, and I'll just lay back on my beach towel and soak in the rays and enjoy watching their handiwork!

@DeborahDiane Those sand castles may be gone in the physical sense, but they can live on forever in photographs! Hopefully, people take lots of photos of those wonderful creations.

@moffittjc - Yes, I think it is wonderful that nearly everyone carries a camera around these days. I have seen some incredible photographs the past decade or so!

@moffittjc - I'm with you. I told Lady Duck that the sand castles I have built look like castles after they were bombed in WWII. (LOL) Sadly, this castle was gone a few days later when I was back at the beach. Such transitory beauty!

@JudyEv - Yes, it must have taken a lot of work, and it was gone a few days later when I was back at the beach. I'm amazed that people spend so much time on these castles, when they get washed away.

@DeborahDiane From the picture it is very good and creative. Do you know if he just made it for fun and broke it apart afterwards or what happened to it after he finished it?

@Hannihar - He just made it for fun. I don't think he broke it apart on purpose, but I walked in the same place a few days later and it was gone. I imagine the waves broke it down. I'm glad I had a chance to see it. It was much nicer than the average sandcastle in the area.
