How do you listen to music? Or do you?

Music has always been an important part of my life, from the time I was about three years old, singing "Jesus Loves Me" in church while an older gentleman played it on his violin to having favorite playlists today. Actually, I'm still singing in that same little church. After being at a different church for many years, here we are back at the country church where there are six generations of my relatives buried. I sing, teach Sunday School, teach the children's message in church, and am the church treasurer. My husband preaches at times, is the Lay Leader, usher, head of committees, and repairman. Like I said, it's a really small church and not many of us to do everything. But back to my post. There's always been music in our home, from Southern Gospel, contemporary Gospel, and some country and pop to whatever catches our ear. Years ago I wrote and sang country songs, even had a little band. Still have a band, but now it's a family band when the kids come home and go to church with us. I love to have music playing while I'm doing my house work. It just makes the day go better. I used to play CD's, but for several years have made playlists on Napster/Rhapsody/Napster again, but it got to where the music would requently stop. So frustrating. I cancelled Napster and signed up with Spotify. So far, so good. I'm happy again. (It doesn't take a lot to make me happy!) So, if you do listen to music, what's your favorite way to listen?

I listen to music everywhere I can. In the car, on my computer while My Lotting, with my I Pod when taking a walk, when I do housecleaning, even in the bathroom getting ready for the day. As one of my favorite quotes goes...music is a tonic for the soul I use Spotify too! Love it Sounds like your a member of a really enjoyable church.

@1creekgirl YouTube is a good alternative if I want to know the correct lyrics of the song or if I want to see its music video.

With my ears. I listen to my iPod most of the time. I listen to Knoxville public radio station WDVX online, as well as a friend's radio station broadcasting real country music.

Do you have playlists you've created and then ask Alexa to play a certain playlist?

@1creekgirl Yes, my daughter created some different playlists for me (I'm not savvy enough to figure it out ) and then I just tell Alexa which ones to play. Other times I just ask her to play certain songs or a station that I like (I'll just say Alexa play Christian music, or Luke Bryan station etc). Alexa has become my favorite way to listening to music these days.

I listen to my old vinyl on my high end stereo. I also listen to CDs that way. When I want to listen to a single song, or listen to one of my own (or others') YouTube videos, I listen through my computer using Sennheiser HD-280 Pro headphones. Here's my take on an alt-country classic. I've never heard it on my high end stereo!

I love listening to music with headphones or earphones. I don't listen openly because other members in my family don't like it.
