He's Delusional

I am watching Hell's Kitchen, a show I've never really watched before. I am on season 8 and while there have been some characters here, this season seems to have the most amusing one yet. There is a guy by the name of Raj on the guys team and he is quite delusional. I don't necessarily agree with his team mates in saying that he's crazy, but he definitely seems to think he's the best and that everyone is out to get him. He doesn't do well at service and he doesn't contribute at prep or on punishments. I am on the third episode and a preview of the show seems to insinuate that he threatens someone with a knife later. I am not sure if that's what happens but I'll be finding out after I get done watching a newscast I watch every weekday. This is a pretty entertaining show. Sure there are parts that I am not a big fan of, but overall it's pretty amusing. I do have to wonder how real everything is, and I know there have been some disgruntled contestants in the past, but overall it's a great show. Have you seen the show?

I haven't seen it. Gordon Ramsay seems to need a slapping.

I think part of it is him acting up for the cameras, but of course he's trying to train chefs to higher standards. If you've ever seen Kitchen Nightmares, he's a lot more calm in that series. He even has a show in the UK, with his family, but of course I've never seen it.

I didn't watch it when it first came out. I probably wouldnt' be watching it now if it weren't for hte fact that I came across Kitchen Nightmares and got engrossed in that. I'm not a big, big fan of reality television either to be honest.

@infatuatedbby I am binging on him now I guess you could say. I will be watching Chopped once I get through all of these. I don't think I'll get tired of it for awhile, but there's no telling. I think he (Ramsay) even has a new series coming on Fox soon.

OMG, really threaten someone with a knife?!? He should not be a chef if he is like that.

@rakski Definitley not. I know tensions are high in the show, but a knife? I imagine the contestants were given a background check before they were able to start.

I've never seen it. I can't stand Gordon Ramsey, and he seems to be the main draw for some people.

I am sure, and I think I can speak for many Americans, it's the accent. Yes I think he may be a little full of himself, and his constant barrage of insults is a little too much, but people admire him anyway, and that's what sells his cookware and cookbooks.

Yes, I watched a few episodes before. I agree that the show is amusing. With all the drama and tension, it bring spice to the show.

@mlgen1037 Well, the exaggeration is all for the views. There are some that enjoy those type previews and even the exaggeration on the shows themselves.

Yes, though I have to admit, some of the "spoilers" / "previews" are misleading. They make it seem as if a bigger drama will happen then what actually does.

@ScribbledAdNauseum They make it exaggerated that does not make sense sometimes anymore.

It's definitely entertaining. The first season had to be one of my favorites. The first season was a mix of men and women in the two teams, but every season since then has been men against women.

Never heard of this show. I took a look and there are some of these shows that can be seen online. I will take a look because it sounds interesting. My hometown is NYC and did you know that there is a neighborhood there called Hell's Kitchen?

Yes I was aware of the neighborhood. I think I actually became aware of it from The Godfather. I like the show, though not always all parts of the show. The previews can be overly dramatic. I watch it on Amazon Prime video and it shows a preview of each episode before the episode, like it would have done when it was first aired.

I am almost always the last person to get on board with a t.v. series.

Have you ever seen Kitchen Nightmares? He is a lot more tame on it. I think that he is a drill sergeant in the kitchen but a lot more laid back out of it. He didn't get so successful by being a pushover, that's for sure.

I don't know which one of our networks first aired it. I think it must have come on fox. It was popular when it was being aired.
