I rarely was here again last week and even these past days.
We had our summer outbreak at a far resort. It was a whole day and overnight last 25th and we went home 26th at 2:00 p.m.
Then we had a simple birthday bash for an officemate and at the same time congratulatory party for him winning as a barangay Kagawad.
Then Monday, was a very busy day. Meeting from 8:30 to 12:00.
And to think, I have to start the week as the new Procurement Department Head. Yes, I now head a department , though I still have some of the auditing works, like audit of liquidations and the purchase orders which is with my staff.
Imagine, auditing their works? But they know me too well, not to behave.
As to the salary increase, it is being approved.
But today, I really have to allot a time to at least be here and interact with you all guys.
I miss you all friends.

Be careful with suppliers, Ms. LT. I was a Supplies Custodian before which also included procurement so I made the orders with suppliers for office supplies and forms. One time, when ordering deposit and withdrawal slips, I made a random count of the pages in the pads and found out that there were only 80 pages in the pads instead of 100. You can just imagine 20 pages missing from a hundred - that's 2o% and to think, I was ordering 500 pads of deposit slips and another 500 for withdrawal slips. When the supplier came to make the collection, I confronted him about the missing pages and told him I would not make payment unless he delivered the missing 20% of the order. He tried to reason out that he did not know about the shortage and that he had entrusted the job to his men. I told him that he should monitor his men and his delivery and make sure that he delivers the materials as ordered by his customers as indicated on the Job or Purchase Order. Since then, he was careful in making sure they delivered the exact order because he knew I was meticulous with my job. Only when he delivered the full order did I make payment.

Oh, my! Thank you for advising me on that. I will really take note of that.
But so far, those ORs issued to us are given to the sales audit of accounting for the pages to be accounted.
Today, what I encountered is choosing between two suppliers of Emission Testing of both same qoute.
Have to go, we have a meeting.

most people aren't meticulous. they would just count the total pads, and not bother with the pages. most likely you are the exception among their customers.

@hereandthere Had I not made the random count (which I always did), it would have been quite a big loss to our company :)

Thank you.
I was really surprised because the department I usually would have audit findings was where I was assigned.
