When it has proved that my brother is suffered from Ankylosing spondylitis,we immediately rushed to a rheumatologist.she prescribed medicines but still my brother hasn't come out from the severe pain, although she already told that he may not get relief and in such case he have to go for biological treatment.Under biological treatment he must complete a course of injections which will be given weekly. As soon he start the course, the pain will start to get disappear gradually. Is there anybody out here those who suffered from the Ankylosing spondylitis? And now he got totally relieved. if you were suffered then how you got cured? Photo Courtesy : Wikipedia

@JudyEv but in many cases people don't get cured even after going through this biological treatment according to doctors, actually this disease gradually affect our immune system.Though one might be cured but there is chances to fall back into the disease again.

Do your research. You know pills given are often just for pain, but there might be other natural lifestyle things that could help him. Do you know what the injections they are giving contain?

I don't know precisely what it contains but biologics affect our immune system, taking it puts us at increased risk for infections as well as for reactivation of tuberculosis (TB).And moreover it is expensive treatment.

I am sorry for your brother, Ankylosing spondylitis is in fact a type of arthritis. Unfortunately there is no cure, but medication and exercise may be of help to live better.

@PurnaSharma I know that biological treatment is pretty new and it seems to give good results. I know that biological treatment can’t be taken orally, they are given by injection (or intravenous infusion). I hope the doctor of your brother can suggest this treatment.
