Good Relations

Since my husband passed away, my niece and I have slowly but firmly been building our relationship back up. We had been very close all of our lives, but then there was a period of time when we fell apart and rarely talked. These days, we talk quite a bit. A few days ago, I'd gone grocery shopping and got stranded. I had no ride home. I called my niece and she came to my rescue. She brought me home and stayed for a very nice visit. She and my cat, Timothy, played and had a lot of fun, too! Tonight, she called me just to catch up on a few things. She's looking for a new job and happened to mention that a co-worker of hers works a second job on Cape Cod, Mass. My niece mentioned to her that if she could get a job on The Cape, she would move there in a heartbeat. My heart nearly stopped until she said that if something like that did happen, she planned to bring me and my nephew with her so we could all live together! I was shocked! I'm sure it will never happen, but I think it would solve a lot of problems if there was a way the three of us could live together somewhere. I'm the one who cooks. My niece has someone to come in and clean. My nephew wouldn't be lonely and the three of us always have a lot of fun together. Of course, I'm not sure my cat would like the idea of living with two other cats. But we could work that out easily enough. It was a nice surprise to see how well we've cultivated this relationship. We're in such a great place and the love is strong. Can't ask for more than that! Claudia picture is from pixabay

My niece never says much about being lonely, but I know she must be. All of us being under one roof would be a blessed thing, for sure!

It's definitely working for us and since our history is strong we don't have to try as hard this time around. We're very comfortable around each other!
