Hoping To Go And Do Some Gardening After Lunch

Our lawn man came just after 8:00 A.M. and I am hoping to get some gardening done after lunch. It is on the cool side today, so it should be a lot easier for me as I have trouble with heat. I can only do a little bit at a time, unfortunately, not like the old days where I could stay there for hours and hours. But whatever I can do makes me feel good and happier, so that is still worth it to go out there. Can you still do as much gardening as you used to?

I've not been able to do as much as I'd like, yet ever what with working so much. It's cooler here today too, almost a bit too cold for me. I may do a bit of weeding while my lawn is getting mowed here in the next hour or so. Maybe he will also turn some sod for me to define the flowers from the grass under my tree.

@marlina I'll try. I've not accomplished as much as I hoped to yet. Other than keeping my feet raised which is the main goal for the week.

I always could only do a little gardening at a time. I really mind the heat and get weak when I'm in it for too long. I do best on cloudy days.

It is easier to garden in the shade but more relaxing in the sun.

I guess you can't grow too much with so much shade.

Yes I can, and more. Seems I do more now than I did when I was 30. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Not anymore. I have stopped gardening about 6 years ago when I left for Bangkok and lived there for 6 months. When I came back home, I was really disappointed how my garden looked that I lost interest in it. But now I'm thinking of going back to collecting succulents and indoor plants again. Hope you were able to do some gardening!

@marlina Awww, I'm so sorry to hear that. But the good thing is, you were able to do it even just for a short time. Hoping you'll have strength for more gardening soon.

@toniganzon , Unfortunately, my gardening was very short as I was not strong enough.

No as my back is not great at the moment and age has stiffened me up. I still tove it though and it does make me feel better as I love being in the garden- and working with the plants and flowers. Very good for the soul.

@MarymargII , Thanks, but I used to take Glucosamine, but had to give it up as it is not compatible with Warfarin. It did work for me.

Gardening is relaxing. I'm going to be honest, I don't have a green thumb and I hardly ever keep up with gardening once I start it. But, when I do garden, it's usually very early morning or late evening.

@marlina Oh no, I love it! I'm just terrible at it. And I'm terrible at the discipline of it too, so usually my plants go through periods where I water them everyday and then long stretches where I forget to.

Due to Health, it is impossible for me to get much done outside like I would Love to be able to do. Makes me miss the days when I could. Many times wondering what it would cost to have someone come and start working on our backyard and getting it look better again

I can't half as much as I used to do these days but even in my younger days I never had a successful garden. I don't have any luck with flowers or plants but do admire those who have beautiful gardens.
