Will I make it home Monday night?

I mentioned in a post last night that my niece had to rescue me from the grocery store when the ride that was supposed to take me home never showed up. Well, my nephew invited me to his bowling banquet on Monday night. This is a league for people with disabilities of all kinds who come together and bowl and celebrate no matter how well or not so well they do. I have been going for many years now and I love being around everyone. Problem is that when I set up my ride, they have already given me trouble about my ride home. I was hoping to ride in the same van with my nephew, but they are saying they can't pick me up at the same door. It's all very ludicrous and I don't understand it. My nephew and I talked about it on the phone today and since we both have cell phones, we'll talk to each other once we're outside waiting for our rides to make sure everything is working out and that we each have a ride home. I told my niece what's going on and she said that if there's a problem, she will definitely come and get me again, even though I'll be about 30 minutes away from home, so it will take her some time to get to me (she drives VERY slowly). I told her I can park myself at Honey Dew Donuts and get some coffee to sit and wait. But I'm hoping I won't get stranded out there. Life has sprinkled me with some spice lately! I guess things have been quiet for too long and I need to have my cage rattled a little bit again. Being in the hospital in March wasn't enough! So okay, I'm ready for this. And I'm keeping positive! It's the only way to go! Claudia image from pixabay

Been there. I hate relying on others. Others tend to not care.

It is ridiculous they do not want to let you ride together with your nephew, I am sorry about this.

I hope everything works out tomorrow night. I'm sorry you were in the hospital in March. Life does seem to rattle our cage every so often.
