Sometimes, I wonder how it feels to have a siblings. I would be much happier if I have. I would not feel out of place whenever we would go to a family gathering because they were with me. Others would say I'm lucky, because all of my parents attention is just for me. But I feel otherwise, I don't have someone to talk to inside our family whenever I feel depress on some certain things that I could not say to my parents. So if you have siblings, treasure them. There's someone out there, like me, who have been wishing to have one.

I am an only child. I never missed having siblings when I was a kid, but since I have been an adult, and particularly now as I get older, I sometime think it would be nice to have someone with whom I shared memories.

It is good and bad to have siblings. lol I think you should open up with your mom or dad. Or cousins. Being an only child is not that bad.

I'm open to my parents but there's some stuff that I could not share to them.

I am the last child of 6 children at our home. I do cherish and appreciate my siblings, unfortunately, I lost 1 sister a few years ago and miss her a lot.

Hi Chicnthin. Thank you. I miss my siblings but one is getting on my nerves. I have a cousin who is also an only child and since we grew up together, she still feels like she has siblings too.

I have 3 siblings (youngest child) and know how it can be to have to share the attention / share in general (being the youngest and smallest I often got last choice)... But I cannot describe how awesome it is to have someone to chat with and say, "remember when we did XYZ" or "Remember this person" or " remember when mom or dad did this?" Baz Lurhman summed it up well - siblings are the closest link to your past and more likely to stick with you in the future Siblings are also invaluable when you go through the pain of losing one or both of your parents
