WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR IN 2018?

Our daily existence in 2018 to date has been filled with sad news. Crime, poverty, corruption, incompetent politicians, etc. etc etc. Among all this, we all at one time or another have to labor (some 2-3 jobs) to create a livelihood for ourselves and our families. We're tired the majority of the time and in a constant state of worry. Taking the above into account - WHAT THEN CAN WE BE GRATEFUL FOR IN 2018 TO DATE??? From my personal perspective: 1) I'm grateful to have my sister still with me following complications which she experienced earlier this year during a routine operation. 2) I'm grateful for the opportunity which I have to get up every day and in one way or another, positively enrich a child's mind through music education. 3) I'm grateful that I have-despite all negativity which has hit me this year-NOT lost faith in the good of mankind. WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR IN 2018???

First and foremost I am thankful for my life, my sons, family and good health. Why good health? Because if we are healthy then surely it is our treasure here on earth.

So true Emerald - it's one of the few things which we are mostly in control of and is indeed our eternal treasure.

@chavezrmc Totally agree with you - the gift of experiencing an added day is the greatest blessing we all have and always should have to be thankful for.

@notewise777 I agree. Life means enjoying relations with others. Living alone is not life but a sentence to be behind bars means lifeless life

An overwhelming feeling that I sense many respondents to the statement have - I suppose life has no true meaning without our dear ones by our side.

@dya80dya Excellent point you're making - where would we be if our parents did not believe in us - personally, I would not even have made it to 2018.

We sometimes forget that we have to grateful for just being able to experience 2018. Thanks for reminding us what we fail to remember much of the time.

I completely hear you hey. We have to look long and hard for something with the way things are going. BUT, we (my family and I) are alive, we have a roof over our heads, we have transport, we have health, we have a wonderful 3 year old boy, we have jobs. Just take each day as it comes
