A Beautiful Night for Playing

Wow. Just wow. We don't get days like this very often around here once the calendar turns over to June. Yesterday, however, was such a beautiful night for playing miniature golf (or really, doing anything outside). The temperature was comfortable, the humidity was very low (we are notorious for "air you can wear" around here in the summer, so it's a blessing to have a low-humidity day!), and there was nary a cloud in the sky. (But the ISS was in the sky...saw that floating by as I drove home.) That took us to treacherous course #2. I'm fond of saying that "sometimes you get the course, sometimes the course gets you," and I usually say that about this course. It's the most challenging course we have here. I've shot 23 under on it. I've also shot one under on it. For the most part, however, it treated me well. I had a few very difficult putts to save par, and I made most of them. I only had two bogeys on the night and finished with 97, good enough for third place. Then came best ball (again, better ball if you're a grammar teacher ). For some reason I took off and didn't look back, shooting 13 under for the round and winning. I know it's going to be blistering hot soon, but the perfect weather made last night's tournament a joy. Yeah, and winning 22 bucks didn't hurt. This song is included for the line "we play golf in the afternoon" (and yes, because it's Warren Zevon):
Amazed to see this wasnt uploaded yet!

I'm a deeply God fearing person, so any night is a beautiful night for praying. Might want to lay off those delicious pies you're making, they're affecting your vision.

It was either this or a Jimmy Buffett golf reference. I might use Buffett next time.
