My Home Town Made History Last Night!!!!

My hometown of Guelph Ontario made history in this provincial election. For the last 15 years our city has been represented in Toronto, by the Liberals. Love or hate the party, this city is a very liberal leaning city. Problem is, the Liberals really screwed up provincially, during the last term. Their hydro plan sucked, and I ended up paying through the tooth just to keep the dang lights on around here. --- We sure didn't want to vote for the Progressive Conservatives (doesn't that sound like an oxymoron, right there?), and the Liberals screwed us. It was either going to be the New Democratic Party, or the Green party. --- My husband is an American and can not vote, but he and I both support the Green party, and to show this, he volunteered in their office, for the last two elections. I went to the polls today, and voted Green just as I'd planned. Wouldn't you know it, the rest of the city pretty much followed. No one really wanted to vote liberal, and we sure didn't want the ProCon's in. NDP could go either way, but getting a Green Party MPP was a first! Tonight the city of Guelph made HISTORY!!!! Even though the ProCons took the province, our midsized city didn't fall to them. YAY!!!!!!

Yes, indeed. Your man got elected, my woman got elected here in St Kits, but it doesn't amount to a hill of beans, does it? I fear for the future. (Did you know, here in St Catharines, we actually had a choice to vote "None of the above"?)

It sounds a very good activity and placed in history.
