It's another rainy day today. For me it is the perfect day for writing. For reasons unknown to me I am more creative when the rain is falling. Rainy days seem to make me feel cozy and protected, unless, of course, there is also lightning comes along with the rain. It's a lucky thing it has been raining so much lately. Not only is it good for our plants and flowers but also for me. I have been so much more productive. How about you? Are you more creative on rainy days or do they just depress you?

Rain can be depressing for me. You know me, I prefer snowflakes, now that really puts a smile on my face and puts me into a great frame of mind. However, we also need rain, so it's a good thing. I hope we get some soon, or our lawns will be turning brown before July. Just being alone allows me to get a lot of work done. I need to add one more book to my white board. I started working on another one yesterday that needs a lot of work done on it. It's going well. Also a finished novel.

@just4him I love snow but since we don't have it down here I have to make do with rain. Bing alone is wonderful. Unfortunately I am rarely alone. You are really moving alone with the writing. Good deal. What type of book is the new one?

Sometimes I become creative, but mostly I become lazy. When it's raining I just want to drink my tea and watch some series and lay in bed all day.

I drink a lot of tea but could never stay in bed all day. When I get up in the morning and make my bed I don't go back to bed until late at night.

@ramapo17 Yeah I'm that lazy. Staying in bed doesn't make me completely idle though. I do my creative crafting and journaling in bed, I mylot in bed, I drink my tea in bed, sometimes eat in bed. And I work in my bed for most of the days when I'm too lazy to go to the office.

@toniganzon I do admit to feeling that way on rainy days every now and then. But for some reason I am able to create more on rainy days. It may be because when it is sunny most of the time people ae in and out my door.

It is also raining here in our place and since I opted to stay inside, I have all the time to do writing.

Rainy days don't depress me as on the farm we were often desperate for rain. That has coloured my outlook on rain ever since.

@HazySue It is not that I like them or don't but if we have one I take advantage of it and play games on here or nap.

Not creative, but productive, maybe. Though it does also make me tired and blah.

It does that to a lot of people. I am not quick sure why it re4laxes people so much that it allows you to fall asleep.

Rainy days make me want to curl up with a good book or movie. I'm more motivated on sunny days.

Rainy weather makes me sleepy. I'm most productive if it's rainy or sunny as long as I get some work done.

Rain seems to make most people tired or depressed. I can remember my mother-in-law feeling "blue" when it rained.

Rainy days are great for relaxing and reading. They are also good for writing. I seem to be interrupted less often when it's wet outside.

@HazySue I agree with you, Susan. It gives one more inspiration - something that the Mr. Sun does not provide much.
