The Truth?

What is it? Not what you read in the papers, surely? Or what you see on the gogglebox, the TV? What you read on the Internet, perhaps...? Maybe. Depending what you read, and how you read it. Even a simple app on your phone, in this case, the bog standard Twitter app for Android. It tracks, listens, learns... Go on - go into Apps, Force Stop the Twitter app, then Clear the App's Cache and Clear its Data (it will warn you, don't worry, 30secs sets up the prefs you had before!). You will be surprised at what a difference it makes to what the app presents to you for a few days...

@pgntwo When Pontius Pilate asked “What is truth?” no-one answered him. At university a learned professor explained to our class a very complicated timetabling issue after a lot of confusion, and at the end he asked “Any questions?” One bright spark put his hand up and asked “What is truth?”

@pgntwo a question more important than Molières use of the semi-colon to be sure.

@JudyEv Hello to you, too! (grinning at you) I need to go see what you've been up to, but it will need to wait until I get home tonight. (I am trying to catch up to everyone, but it is slow going. I've been back for almost a week and have yet to catch even half of my friends here.

It does seem there are most untruths than truths these days, and so many are easily fooled.

@LadyDuck I find i need it more and more. It navigated for me today, although when it left me one road too far away from my destination, it was useful to phone up for directions from someone who knew the area.

I have always told people that your phone listens and watches you, but people just look at me like I'm crazy.

@DaddyEvil not me and I won't get anything like that in my home, they already do enough spying just with your phone.

You are right there and I don´t have any apps of any kind at the moment and in any case they won´t take on this mobile phone which I have gotten so used to. I don´t use Twitter but I do find news from it all over the place so I don´t have to bother going there really. The truth can easily be changed so quickly that its hard to know who tells the truth and who does not and not an easy game to figure them out sometimes.

@pgntwo (smiling) That's definitely not a bad thing, either! Uhm... have you ever looked to see what other computers on myLot are leaking? I know I used to help others stop their pcs from leaking, but can't remember how to do it now. (Yup, I tried looking up ways to do that but got confused by the explanations. ) *sigh*

@DaddyEvil Leaky computers can be a problem, and they seem to be the norm. So it is where cookies are involved, I have observed.

I don't use Twitter, although it is installed on my phone. I know that the internet is watching and listening though. It's such a sneaky thing, designed to control the masses and create meltdown.

I don't use apps as I'm not very techy but for sure truth is always something to strive for.

There is not such thing as truth, I believe it's a more of a morals issue.

@pgntwo I didn't say telling lies my friend, I just think that everyone has their point of views which they think it's the "truth". I hope now it's more clear...
