Hybrid Agricultural Science

When I saw the "Rice and Beans" being sold at this Food 4 Less store, I was amazed at the new species of what appears to be a hybrid form of long grained brown rice and snap pea like beans encased in their shell still.
Wow! Agricultural science never ceases to amaze me.
Another example of how science has made its presence known in my food.
(Seriously, I know its cinammon sticks and tamarind fruit pods. It just struck me as silly funny.)

Or maybe the re-stocker didn't know thats cinnamon sticks and tamarind =P
